Meet Jo
JoAnna Mendoza is a proud mom, dedicated lifelong public servant, and retired United States Marine. Throughout her life, she has always answered the call to serve—whether by defending the United States from enemies abroad, training the military leaders of tomorrow, or advocating for veterans as they navigate the dysfunctional systems meant to support their transition to civilian life. Now, JoAnna is answering the call to serve by running to represent Arizona’s 6th Congressional District. Jo will bring battle-tested leadership to fix the broken systems in DC, fight for working families, and tackle the cost of food, gas, housing, and child care.
Jo's Positions
JoAnna is a retired Marine, a mom, and a proud rural Arizonan who believes that the government should work for us – the people. She spent 20’years serving our country in military uniform and she knows what it means to lead under pressure, stay mission-focused, and deliver results with limited time and resources. JoAnna understands that servant leadership isn’t about serving yourself, it’s about serving the people you’ve been elected to represent.. In Congress, JoAnna will bring mission-focused, action-oriented leadership and will work with anyone – Democrat, Republican, or Independent – to deliver for Southern Arizona and the nation.
